The glass:  Cocktail Glass
Volume: 4-12 ounces   
Typical volume  250 ml / 8.8 oz

Used for drinks served without ice or straight-up. A cocktail or martini glass has a triangular shaped bowl usually with a long stem.  The stem allows the drinker to pick up and hold the drink without warming its contents. Some variations have thick-footed bases that serve the same purpose.

Introduced in Paris at the 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative Industrial Arts and used in Europe during the American Prohibition the cocktail glass became popular in the States after World War II.
