Brandy Alexander Recipe

The Brandy Alexander tops the list of IBA (International Bartending Associations) After Dinner Drinks. The official recipe is:

BRANDY ALEXANDER (cocktail glass)
2.0 cl
Cognac
2.0 cl Creme de Cacao (brown)
2.0 cl fresh cream

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice cubes, shake well then strain into a cocktail glass. Sprinkle with fresh ground nutmeg.

A cl is the metric unit centiliter. One cl converts to .34 fluid ounces. The official recipe gives you a Brandy Alexander of 6 cl or just over two ounces.

A simple way to mix a Brandy Alexander right for you and your party is to use equal parts of each ingredient. Use the glass you intend to serve it in as a gauge of how much of each ingredient to use.
